Exergen Will Participate in Hospitalar 2023 in Brazil and FIME 2023 in Miami Beach

Exergen promoting their highly innovative Temporal Artery Thermometer

WATERTOWN, Mass, March 15, 2023 – Exergen, a global leader in infrared temperature measurement technologies for medical applications, is highly commuted to help doctors and nurses in Latin America and the Caribbean to further improve the healthcare they are able to provide their patients. As part of this commitment Exergen will participate in two important fairs in the region: Hospitalar in São Paulo, May 23-26 2023, and the Florida International Medical Expo in Miami Beach, June 21-23, 2023.

Highly accurate, non-invasive
Founder and CEO of Exergen, Dr. Francesco Pompei, says both fairs have a strong focus on medicine and offer a great opportunity to connect with medical professionals in the region. “Both fairs are a great opportunity for us to teach medical professionals how to take very accurate measurements, while increasing comfort and being more efficient, of a person’s body temperature with Temporal Artery Thermometers”.

Potential new distributors
“Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometers are super innovative,” says Benjamin Kalm Laub, recently appointed Latin America and Caribbean sales director for Exergen. It takes just two to three seconds for a Temporal Artery Thermometer to get a patient’s temperature, and it’s fast and non-invasive, so nurses and doctors can treat a lot more patients in the same amount of time. We’ll explore opportunity for stronger sales channels through potential new distributors in Latin America and the Caribbean at both fairs.”

Extremely fast and highly accurate
The TAT-5000S, TAT-2000 and TAT-2000C are based on a very innovative infrared technology. They offer many advantages over more traditional methods of determining a patient’s body temperature:

  • highly accurate temperature measurement
  • fast, safe and comfortable
  • quick and easy to use for both doctors and nurses and at-home users
  • low costs, resulting in an average payback period for the TAT-5000S and TAT-2000 of less than 1 year
  • the TAT-5000S is very durable and can be used without throw-away sensor caps to avoid unnecessary waste and costs (caps are available if protocol requires)
  • due to its industrial design the TAT-5000S is covered by a Lifetime Guarantee
  • the housing of the thermometer is resistant to aggressive disinfectants
  • the technology on which the Temporal Artery Thermometers are based are supported by more than 110 peer-reviewed and published clinical studies
  • the TAT-2000C offers at-home users the same accuracy, speed and reliability as the TAT-5000S and TAT2000 for use in hospitals – at a very attractive retail price

Ideal for patients
“The TAT-5000S, the TAT-2000, and the TAT-2000C are non-invasive thermometers that are ideal for patients”, says Ellen Minkels, Senior Director International Sales and Marketing at Exergen. “They’re very comfortable and accurate,” she says. “TAT-2000C is designed for at-home use, and doctors and nurses love it. With our virtual classroom and other training material, we’ll be able to offer very effective service and support to our customers.”
