Exergen appoints first member to newly launched Medical Advisory Board

WATERTOWN, Mass, March 28, 2023 – Infrared temperature measurement equipment manufacturer Exergen Corporation has launched a Medical Advisory Board. The first medical professional appointed to the Exergen Medical Advisory Board is Dr. Gopichandran Lakshmanan, PhD (MSN), FCRMEBN (AIIMS), RN, RM and Associate Professor at the College of Nursing, AIIMS in New Delhi.

“The medical sector is seeing rapid technological advancements and innovation,” says Dr. Francesco Pompei, founder and CEO of Exergen Corporation. “When I talk to doctors, heads of nursing, biomedical engineers and hospital managers, they often tell me they would like to have a platform to talk about the important trends and developments impacting their business and the healthcare they give patients with peers from both the scientific community, the medical profession, and industry. By establishing a Medical Advisory Board we hope to support and stimulate the discussions they need to further improve the medical services they offer to their patients and other stakeholders”.

Exergen’s Medical Advisory Board is made up of experienced and knowledgeable medical professionals and experts who provide guidance and advice on product development and safety, best practices, innovative use cases, and more. Advisory board members will be able to discuss topics like accuracy, precision, ease of use, and durability. Connectivity will also be an important theme.

“The new Medical Advisory Board of Exergen consists of medical professionals (doctors, physicians, heads of nursing) and experts from the scientific and business communities,” says Ellen Minkels, Senior Director Sales & Marketing at Exergen. “We will appoint advisory board members from all continents and regions and we are now in the talks with a candidate in the Middle East/Africa and Europe. Exergen will also invite experts in specific tech fields to join”.
