Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometers in Use at all Hospitals that have Earned ANCC’s Magnet Status Five Times

WATERTOWN, Mass, December 12, 2024 – This fall the American Nursing Credentialing Center (ANCC) released their annual list of hospitals that have earned Magnet status. The Magnet recognition program notices hospitals worldwide where nursing excellence is strategically tied to patient outcomes.

“The ANCC created their Magnet Recognition to acknowledge nurses’ commitment to excellence in health care and improving health outcomes. Exergen would like to extend our congratulations to the hospitals that were recognized and call out those who have received it five times. Of note over 80 of these hospitals have received this designation five times and all of them use Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometers which are well known and recognized for not only its high accuracy but also their ease of use, efficiency and positive user- and patient experience,” said Dr. Francesco Pompei, founder and CEO of Exergen Corporation.

Nurses love Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometers because they are not only accurate, but also extremely easy to use, fast, non-invasive, and improve productivity. The Temporal Artery Thermometers (TAT) uses infrared technology to detect the heat naturally emitting from the skin surface over the temporal artery. In addition, this method incorporates a patented arterial heat balance system to automatically account for the effects of ambient temperature on the skin. It is designed for doctors and nurses for use in hospitals and clinics.

Sample hospitals from the list of over 80 that have received Magnet recognition five times include UAB Hospital, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center (Los Angeles), St. Joseph’s Hospital (Savannah), Rush University Medical Center (Chicago), The Johns Hopkins Hospital (Baltimore), Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston), Huntington Hospital-Northwell Health (Huntington) and University of Washington Medical Center (Seattle). The complete list can be viewed here.
