Exergen Expands into Jiangsu Province with Agreement with Suzhou Yougeman Trading Co., Ltd. to Distribute Temporal Artery Thermometers

Watertown, MA – September 11, 2024 – Exergen Corporation, a leading manufacturer of infrared temperature measurement equipment for medical applications, has signed a distribution agreement with Suzhou Yougeman Trading Co., Ltd. Jiangsu Province, China to distribute its professional Temporal Artery Thermometer models in Jiangsu Province. Suzhou Yougeman Trading Co., Ltd team of 15 distributes OB/GYN exam/testing products, rehabilitation products, and clinical diagnostic products.

“Exergen thermometers use new technology that no one else has. Accurate, easy to use and high quality. We need to educate the users to understand its unique advantages. Most clinical thermometers such as ear thermometer or other electronics thermometers require probe covers which increase the total costs of ownership for the hospitals. This is just one of the many advantages of the Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer that other thermometers do not have,” said Suzhou Yougeman Trading’s Caitong Chen, general manager.

Chinese hospitals are in transition to “Smart Ward” conversion to get all the clinical information connected. Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometers have connectivity features that let them integrate with VSMs and other hospital systems via cables or wireless technology like Bluetooth. As a result, Exergen thermometers are ideally positioned to support the transition to smart wards.

“We are excited about our relationship with Suzhou Yougeman Trading to distribute our Temporal Artery Thermometers,” Dr. Francesco Pompei, founder and CEO of Exergen Corporation. “Suzhou is ranked as one of China’s top ten economies and see it as a great opportunity to change the way the world takes temperatures and further improve the medical services in this region.”

Exergen offers two models of Temporal Artery Thermometers for use in hospitals and other professional healthcare facilities:
