EXERGEN ANNOUNCES “VIRTUAL TEMPERATURE CHALLENGE” WITH GRAND PRIZE OF $100,000

Just in time for the holiday season, Exergen ® Corporation announces the Virtual Temperature Challenge, an instant win game and grand prize sweepstakes of $100,000, open to all residents of the U.S. with a valid email address. The contest will be promoted on hundreds of radio station websites, and by radio announcements reaching 300 million listeners.

Starting November 21, contestants can register at www.exergenholidaygiveaway.com and hundreds of radio station websites, and play the Virtual Temperature Challenge every day for a chance to win one of 100 Exergen TemporalScanners to be given as prizes over the duration of the contest. Additionally, one grand prize finalist winner will be randomly selected from the entries to win a 46 inch LCD HDTV for Christmas. The finalist will be challenged to predict the final score of the NFL game on Christmas Day between Green Bay and Chicago; if predicted correctly, the finalist will be awarded the Grand Prize of $100,000 in Christmas Cash.

“With the holidays around the corner, the Virtual Temperature Challenge is an interactive way to engage listeners in a contest with a chance to win a great prize. This time of year can bring on stress and we want to offer families something entertaining and with great value,” said Exergen Corporation founder and CEO Francesco Pompei, Ph.D.

Exergen markets two models of the TemporalScanner thermometer: a professional version for doctors’ offices and hospitals, and a consumer model sold in major retailers including Walmart, Target, Walgreen’s, Rite Aid, Kroger, Costco, Sam’s Club, Babies “R” Us, Toys “R” Us, and BJ’s. More than 800 million temperatures are taken each year with the TemporalScanner.
