The American Academy of Pediatrics’ reported on a new study undertaken to “evaluate the different methods of temperature measurement available in the emergency room”. The study concluded that the Exergen TemporalScanner is the most accurate method. Until now, rectal thermometers have always been considered the “gold standard for predicting core body temperature”.
