On Tuesday, June 23, 2015 Exergen showed their support to Wal-mart by attending Wal-mart State House Day 2015 at the Massachusetts State House in Boston, MA.

The event included Wal-Mart store managers, Wal-Mart vendors, and state legislators.

It was over 10 years ago that Exergen signed a deal to distribute its thermometers in Wal-Mart stores and it needed room to grow. So with the help of a program created by Citizens Bank and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, it used a $2 million loan to buy a larger building, and add 50 jobs to support the demand of Wal-Mart.

The campaign was launched at Exergen’s facility in Watertown, MA with former Governor Mitt Romney attending. Governor Romney got a fast and accurate temperature taken by Dr. Francesco Pompei on that day.

And on this day, Governor Charlie Baker got a fast and accurate temperature taken by Exergen Customer Service Manager, Stan Orluk. They both recorded normal temperatures.

To this day Wal-Mart is continuing to help the economy of Massachusetts by opening new stores and partnering with local manufacturers and community service groups. Exergen thanks them for their continued partnership and support.
