New Moms Prefer Temporal Artery Thermometers, Study Finds

A recently published study has found that expectant mothers prefer temporal artery thermometers when thinking about purchasing a new thermometer for their incoming child.  Along with that, the number of parents who prefer rectal, ear, and underarm thermometers has been decreasing year after year.

“These results mirror those of similar surveys affirming that nurses and physicians agree that accuracy and ease of use contribute to their reliance upon and preference for the TemporalScanner and reducing the use of rectal thermometers,” said Exergen Corporation CEO Francesco Pompei. He goes on to say how it is rewarding that parents appreciate the accuracy and effectiveness of temporal thermometers, as the reason they designed the Exergen thermometer was to make life easier for parents of sick children.
