Diagramm Halbach will demonstrate Temporal Artery Thermometers in Bremen, Germany at the Symposium Intensivmedizin + Intensivpflege

WATERTOWN, Mass, February 09, 2023 – Exergen Corporation, a leading provider of infrared temperature measurement for medical applications, is pleased to announce that Diagramm Halbach, distributor of Exergen’s line of Temporal Artery Thermometers in Germany, will demo the TAT-2000-EC and TAT-5000S-EC thermometers during the Symposium Intensivmedizin + Intensivpflege. The event will be held in Bremen, Germany, from 15-17 February 2023.

”There are many opportunities for doctors and nurses to further their education and training at the Symposium Intensivmedizin + Intensivpflege, the largest German association-independent medical conference”, says Martin Piela, Sales Director Healthcare at Diagramm Halbach. “This symposium will be the first time we will showcase the highly advanced Temporal Artery Thermometer line by Exergen Corporation”.

A gentle swipe across the forehead of the patient is all it takes to perform a highly accurate, non-invasive measurement of body temperature. The procedure is non-invasive and is easy to perform, even while the patient is asleep.

There are two models in Exergen’s line of professional thermometers: the TAT-5000S-EC and the TAT-2000-EC:

  • TAT-5000S-EC – Ensuring superior functionality in the most demanding of hospital environments, the TAT-5000S-EC easily stands up to the heavy duty demands of high-performance hospital workplaces, including intensive care units and emergency departments, as well as all inpatient units. Many well-known spot monitor vendors, including Philips and Mindray, have integrated a special connected version of the TAT-5000S-EC.
  • TAT-2000-EC – The TAT-2000-EC thermometer is a light-duty professional model designed for school nurses, nursing homes, businesses, and other occasional clinical settings.

Compared to more traditional methods for determining a patient’s body temperature, Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometers offer many advantages:

  • highly accurate temperature measurement
  • fast, safe and comfortable for the patient (non-invasive)
  • quick and easy to use and will save a great deal of time because each measurement only takes 2-3 seconds
  • resistant to aggressive disinfectants
  • low costs, resulting in an average payback period of less than 1 year
  • green: throw-away caps to prevent cross-contamination are not required (but are available if protocol requires them)
  • extremely robust because the housing of both the Temporal Artery Thermometer is made of an internally developed Superplastic
  • based on a technology that is supported by more than 100 peer-reviewed and published clinical studies
  • The TAT-5000S-EC comes with a Lifetime Warranty
  • The TAT-2000-EC comes with a 7-year warranty

As Dr. Francesco Pompei, founder and CEO of Exergen Corporation, explains, Germany sets the bar for healthcare in many respects. “We are delighted that our German distributor Diagramm Halbach is able to introduce our Temporal Artery Thermometers to German doctors and nurses. It is a privilege for us to help further improve German healthcare with our non-invasive and very easy-to-use thermometers”.
