Exergen Congratulates 15 U.S. Hospital Systems Being Identified by Fortune Magazine as the Top Health Systems in 2023

Watertown, Mass, December 14, 2023 – The 15th edition of the PINC AI 15 Top Health Systems study from Fortune and Premier identified the top health systems of 2023. The study looked at clinical outcomes, operational efficiency and patient experience. They used Medicare data to analyze 361 U.S. health systems made up of more than 3,300 hospitals total and discern standout organizations for its list.

Top 15 U.S. Hospital Systems for 2023

The difference between these organizations recognized by this study and their peers is not trivial. According to PINC AI’s analysis, if all health systems operated as this year’s winners, more than 207,000 patient lives would be saved and 432,000 patients would be spared in-hospital complications each year. Inpatient mortality was 20.8% lower for winning systems compared to their non-winning peers, and health care-acquired infections were 20.7% lower for the group. Hospital stays were also shorter at the 15 Top systems.

“We congratulate these healthcare systems with this prestigious recognition. What all of these systems have in common is the use of our Temporal Artery Thermometers which is well known and recognized for not only its high accuracy but also its ease of use, efficiency and user- and patient experience. We are very proud in supporting all these medical professionals in these top Healthcare Systems by supporting them to stand out on a daily basis, stated Dr. Francesco Pompei, Founder and CEO of Exergen Corporation.
