Distributors from the Benelux, Norway and Turkey Were Recognized for Dedication, Results, and Superior Customer Service  

WATERTOWN, Mass, May 24, 2024 – Exergen, the leading manufacturer of infrared thermometers known for producing the most accurate thermometer available, hosted its inaugural International Distributor’s Event in May 2024. During the event, distributors were introduced to Exergen’s strategic direction, product development initiatives, and the competitive advantages essential for transforming global temperature-taking practices. Additionally, attendees gained valuable insights into market competition, effective strategies, and networking opportunities. 

Highly insightful discussions 

Dr. Francesco Pompei, founder and CEO of Exergen Corporation, “Our discussions with our distributors were both encouraging and insightful. We explored the advanced technology underpinning our Temporal Artery Thermometers and discussed how our innovations continue to set new standards in accuracy and user convenience. The collaborative exchange of ideas provided a deeper understanding of the unique requirements and expectations from various regions, allowing us to fine-tune our strategies to better serve our global clientele.” 

Science based market leader 

In India, Exergen just received its T&M certification, with the CSDO certification on its way. Abdul Haq Askandar, Director at Ablif Medical, was one of the distributors participating in the event: ”Our two-day distributor meeting and factory tour in Boston was an eye-opener for us, and we learned a lot about Exergen’s Temporal Artery Thermometer and how it adds value to the medical industry. This will allow us to position the Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer in a superior way in India and maximize our sales. The training program at the distributor event was scientific, in-depth, and excellent, which is totally in line with the science-based company Exergen is.” 

Expanding in the Middle East 

Despite challenging circumstances, there was a strong Middle East presence at the distributor meeting. In addition to our distributors in the UAE, Jordan and Qatar, both Exergen distributors in Israel and Gaza/Westbank attended the event,” said Ihab Odeh, Exergen’s commercial director for Middle East and Africa. Heartbeat Medical Supplies’ Baker Alkanash said he was very impressed with the two day long distributor meeting: “I would like to thank Exergen for their great hospitality. We enjoyed the event to be very informative.” 

Distributor Awards 

Exergen recognized three of its distributors as excellent partners. These were Theo Huigen of Van Vliet Medical Products in the Benelux, Knut Dahle of Pure Medical in Norway, and Murat Bayram of Turkey. By supplying Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometers to hospitals in their regions, all three have achieved huge commercial and healthcare success.   

Strong growth in Latin America 

“As Exergen is expanding globally, two countries in Latin America were recognized as runner ups: CNPH of Brazil and Uefa Central Farmaceutica of Costa Rica,” said Benjamin Kalm, Exergen’s commercial director in Latin America. “In the coming months, we will establish relationships with even more highly promising distributors in Latin America and the Caribbean.” 

Green is crucial 

According to Ellen Minkels, Exergen’s Senior Director Global (OEM) Sales, Marketing & Business Development: “Exergen is aggressively going after its mission statement of changing the way the world takes temperature. We feel an urgency to check a patient’s body temperature, as we see the need for accuracy, efficiency, speed, and last but not least, a green approach. Our position has always been that use-once caps are ultimately plastic waste and a polluter. In our opinion, avoiding the use of these caps is the most responsible way to check a patient’s temperature.”
