Watertown, Mass, July 30, 2024 – Exergen Corporation, a global leader in medical temperature technology, is excited to announce that it has received official approval from the Croatian Agency for Medicinal Products and Medical Devices (HALMED) to start selling the Exergen TempoTherm Temporal Artery Thermometer in Croatia. This approval marks a significant milestone for Exergen, as it continues to expand its footprint within the European market.
Croatia, adhering to the European Union’s Medical Devices Regulation (MDR), also mandates that all manufacturers register their medical instruments with HALMED before they can be sold within the country. The Exergen TempoTherm, renowned for its ease of use, reliability, and accuracy, is now officially certified to meet these stringent regulatory requirements.
To facilitate the distribution and availability of the TempoTherm thermometer, Exergen has partnered with LLD Care, a distinguished medical device distributor in Croatia. LLD Care’s Managing Director, Jelena Drazetić, has successfully enlisted Oktal Pharma, one of Croatia’s leading pharmaceutical wholesalers, to ensure widespread availability of the Exergen TempoTherm.
Oktal Pharma, with a robust network of over 42 pharmacies across Croatia, will play a pivotal role in bringing the Exergen TempoTherm thermometer directly to consumers. In addition to retail sales, Oktal Pharma will also supply the Exergen TempoTherm thermometers to additional pharmacies, thereby broadening the reach of this essential medical device.
