Saude Digital News: Accuracy in Measurement and Ease of Use are Highlights of the Exergen Thermometer
Early detection of illness remains the most effective method for success in the journey to recovery, and any significant change in body temperature signals the body’s response to infections, inflammation, or other health issues. Choosing the right thermometer is crucial in this process, and technology has contributed to making temperature measurement both more accurate and easier. The Exergen Temporal Artery Thermometer TAT2000C is designed to meet the needs of home use with precision and extreme practicality.
Babies, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities may not always cooperate when it’s time to measure their temperature. When measured via the temporal artery, all it takes is a gentle slide of the thermometer sensor across the forehead’s surface, to providie a fast reading on the display. This method is non-invasive, without direct contact with the mouth, armpits, or rectum.
The TAT-2000C uses advanced infrared technology to non-invasively and accurately measure the temperature of the blood circulating through the temporal artery, located on the forehead just 2 millimeters (about 0.08 in) beneath the skin. Its highly sensitive sensor performs up to 1,000 readings per second, ensuring that the highest temperature detected during the process is always displayed. This measurement method offers consistent and precise results, making it a more comfortable and reliable option compared to traditional techniques.
In just a few seconds, the TAT-2000C captures an accurate body temperature reading, displaying the result clearly on the digital screen. It also stores the last eight readings, giving the caregiver the opportunity to look for and identify temperature trends.
Exergen stands out when it comes to non-invasive temperature measurement technologies, offering comfort, speed, extreme ease of use, and reducing the risk of cross-contamination by minimizing the transmission of pathogens. Earlier this year, the company received approval from ANVISA for the sale of its thermometers in the Brazilian market.
The TAT-2000C is available on the CNPH website, the distributor of Exergen products in Brazil (https://loja.cnph.com.br/), and is being sold for R$ 300.00, with an option for installment payments via credit card.
